Small Batch, Big Impact: Why We Make Our Products in Micro Batches

In a world of mass production and overflowing beauty aisles, small-batch skincare is quietly leading a revolution. At our Bristol-based studio, we handcraft every blend, balm and bottle in micro batches — not just because it sounds good, but because it genuinely makes for fresher, more thoughtful skincare.

Here’s why small really does mean mighty when it comes to your skin and the planet.

What Does “Small Batch” Really Mean?

Small Batch, Big Impact: Why We Make Our Products in Micro Batches

Small batch skincare refers to products made in limited quantities — often by hand, and often using fresh, carefully sourced ingredients. Unlike large-scale factories where products may sit in warehouses for months, our formulas are blended in-house in short runs, ensuring maximum freshness, potency, and care.

Every step — from melting butters to bottling oils — is done in our Bristol workshop by real people (not conveyor belts).

Why It Matters for Your Skin

Making our products in small batches allows us to avoid synthetic preservatives, unnecessary fillers and shortcuts. It also means we can respond to seasonal ingredient quality, improve formulations when needed, and deliver skin care that’s truly fresh and active.

Whether it’s our calming handmade perfume (UK) or a nourishing botanical face oil, you can feel the difference in something that hasn’t been mass-produced.

Freshness = better results, especially when it comes to antioxidant-rich oils and natural actives that degrade over time.

Better for the Planet, Too

Ethical beauty production is about more than just what’s in the jar. It’s about how the jar got there. Small batch creation means less waste, less overproduction, and more intention behind every item we make. We only produce what we can sell, and that reduces the environmental toll of unsold, expired goods.

We also source ingredients as locally as possible and package in recyclable materials — because caring for your skin should go hand in hand with caring for the earth.

Slow Beauty That Feels Personal

There’s a certain magic in knowing the product you’re using was made by hand — not churned out by the thousand. It’s a slower, more human kind of beauty, where each blend carries care, purpose, and a story.

So whether you’re gifting a roll-on perfume to a friend, or indulging in your own self-care ritual, you’re part of a movement that values craftsmanship, sustainability, and conscious production.
